Creating an honest profile in the fisting community

Present your personality and interests while keeping identifying details and other people’s privacy protected.

Choose photographs with permission

Use recent images that represent the adults who will actually participate. Obtain permission before posting a partner or anyone else. A clear portrait and a photograph of an everyday interest can make introductions easier. Avoid visible addresses, work badges and private documents. You do not need revealing photographs to show personality, and another person should never be pressured to supply them.

Write a specific introduction

Describe everyday interests, the kind of conversation you enjoy and the connection you hope to find. Explain whether you are joining on your own or with a partner, without writing on somebody else’s behalf. A specific introduction is more useful than a list of demands about how another person should look or behave. Avoid claims that imply somebody must share every preference to be welcome in a conversation.

Review what is visible

Read the public version after saving your profile. Check that it does not reveal identifying information or imply agreement from someone who has not approved it. Update old photographs and circumstances when they change. You can revise what you are seeking at any time. A profile is an introduction, not an agreement to meet, continue a conversation or accept another person’s expectations.
